minor suggestion about new Minion Master armor
I think it's a really cool idea to have MM armor....it is a nod to us MM's.
However, the bonus of +10 armor when you have 3 mins....well doesn't really help.
The logic is, if you have a big army, what difference does it make if you have more armor? The more minions you have, the less likely you are to get hit, thus the less important the extra armor is.
Most MM's use scars, because they need the extra energy, because 25 for a fiend and 15 for a horror is a lot, plus all the energy used to keep them healthy means you need more mana.
I suggest MM armor give either more energy the more mins you have, or increase energy regen. That would synch up better with what a MM's needs are.

a minimal amount of energy for around 5 minions out there might be OK... maybe 2 energy at most... but energy regen just throws things out od balance so plz dont use it.

Energy regen, heck no. Energy max, maybe. That would let MMs more fully enjoy the benefit of the Soul Reaping energy they get so much of.

The MM armor is just a novelty. Any truly experienced MM probably laughed when he saw it. I know I did.

that's why I'm a bit disappointed in it. When an MM would be better off with scars than MM armor......leaves me wondering where the wisdom was in making it.

It looks cool.
I know my N/R in Factions will eventually get it. Just to say "I'm a Minion Master, and I wear Minion Master Armor!"
(Of course, when I'm really playing-I'll be wearing scars! )

Don't forget that no Minion Master would wear the boots for the Minion Master set. Every one should be wearing those Bloodstained Boots.

I think the extra armor with more minions is nice. Any added protection (except the boots) is good if it can keep you alive and the minions under your control.

Of course it's tempting to get the MM armor, but In my humble opinion, you're better off with the scar armor and the extra energy.

*coughs* sorry for the caps, got overly excited when it come to MMs
agree with Vilaptca post, no MM in their right mind would give up blood stain boots, perhaps there could be different set of Minon Master boots with the stats of the Bloodstained boots. It would be nice to be able to wear complete set of armour for once when MMing.

/agree the armor bonus is irrelevant. One could simply wear Necrotic/Tormentors and have the same armor bonus unconditionally. Furthermore, the time when the MM actually NEEDS more armor is at startup time. Once the army is assembled, the MM should be taking minimal damage anyway.

Yeah, I was also dissapointed in the MM armor. It really doesnt help MM's at all.
An energy bonus would be better. It would be a real alternative to scar pattern armor.
I wouldnt even mind seeing if they make a conditional armor where if you have 7+ minions you gain like 20 max energy but lose 20 AL or something along those lines. That would be more like a real MM armor.

Yeah, I agree. I won't be changing my tormentor's + bloodstained boots for this. Something needs to be done...
As for getting more out of Soul Reaping...there are a couple of +15e/-1 collectors items you can get for your main weapon and offhand. Helps out in a pinch when minions are going down and you want more energy storage to replace them. Still...it kind of sucks that you can't get the recharge/fast cast mods on the switch weapons...forget I said anything.
I'll sign to a -AL/+Energy MM armor though...so...

I think...
Chest Piece - 3 Energy while in command of 3 or more minions
Gloves - 1 Energy while in command of 3 or more minions
Boots - 1 Energy while in command of 3 or more minions
Leggings - 2 Energy while in command of 3 or more minions

Just make the armor target corpses faster.
It would be nice if there was a measurement for that. It's right up there with "reduces damage from attacks." We need a real number to look at.

How about the full set grants you 50% faster corpse spells... As a minion master, I think that sounds fair

IF the conjecture that each faction will get their own armor but with different stats (like FoW armor does), one could still have "MM" armor, but with scar and bloodstained boots stats.
Big "IF", of course...
